Our three new CBD creams for skin, muscle or heat were introduced in 30 ml glass bottles.
The original launch description promoted CBD skin cream for skin issues including acne, scar tissue, stretch marks, burns and sunburns. These were proposed uses in the announcement, not clinical evidence that this cream treats those conditions.
CBD Muscle Cream was promoted for joint pains, muscle cramps and muscle tension. The launch description also stated that it had a much higher concentration of essential oils than the skin cream; that formulation description does not establish pain-relieving efficacy.
CBD Heat Creme was presented for physically active people, with suggested application before and after exercise or sport and a claim of faster recovery. Those historical use descriptions should not be read as a demonstrated recovery benefit or advice to treat an injury.
Evidence context: Clinical findings for a particular topical formulation cannot automatically be applied to a different cream. A randomised, placebo-controlled pilot study of a topical CBD cream did not find a significant muscle-recovery benefit under the tested conditions. This result does not validate the creams in this launch or show that every topical CBD preparation is ineffective. The US FDA’s consumer guidance on unproven CBD medical claims also explains that marketing claims should not be confused with evaluation of a product’s therapeutic effects. This is evidence context, not a statement of these products’ regulatory status in other countries.
Correction to the archived anti-doping statement: WADA’s 2018 rules exempted cannabidiol itself; this was not approval of every CBD product or a guarantee of legality in every sport. THC remained prohibited in competition, and WADA warned that plant-derived CBD preparations may contain THC. See WADA’s original explanation.
